BUDGET MEETINGS
The consensus of the Committee was to schedule a meeting on
Thursday, March 16 at 5:30 p.m. to review the FY 95-96 budget.
In addition, a second meeting will be held on Saturday, March 18,
at 11 :00 a.m. if necessary.
NERGE ROAD/MEACHAM ROAD TRAFFIC IMPROVEMENTS
The consensus of the Committee was to have Hamilton Partners
spend $70,000 toward the installation of an exclusive right-turn
lane from southbound Meacham Road to westbound Nerge Road. In
addition, Staff was to provide the Cook County Highway Department
with the consultants ' findings to see if they would install
additional intersection improvements as recommended by the
traffic consultant. In addition, it was the consensus not to
have a traffic light installed on Nerge at the main entrance of
the shopping center.

1995 VILLAGE PARADE
Anne Feichter brought the Village Board up to date on the
status of the 1995 Village Parade. The event will take place on
Sunday, August 6, at 2 :00 p.m. The parade is expected to have 80
entries, last 90 minutes, and end up at the Elk Grove
Rotaryfest. The theme of the parade is "Celebrate Elk Grove" .
The consensus of the Committee was as follows:
-- to concur with the arrangements for the 1995 Village
Parade; and
-- to approve the mass mailing of parade information.
MAKE A DIFFERENCE DAY
The consensus of the Committee was not to participate in the
1995 Make-A-Difference Day in lieu of preparation for the 1995
Village Parade and 1996 40th Anniversary Celebration. However,
Community Service will help to support and promote the event .
TRUCK PARKING ON TURNER AVENUE
The consensus of the Committee was to defer this item to the
JPZ Committee for further discussion and recommendation.
ANNUAL PIC DINNER
President Gallitano, Trustee Chernick, and Trustee Rettberg
indicated that they wished to attend the Annual PIC Dinner on
May 4, 1995 . Trustee Petri indicated that he will notify staff
of his intentions at a later date.
UPDATING OF ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT BROCHURE
The consensus of the Committee was as follows:
-- to approve the general concept for the new economic
development brochure as recommended by the Economic
Development Assistant;
-- to have the brochure rebudgeted for the '95- '96 Fiscal
year; and
-- to look into the possibility of having this information
put on the Internet .
MOTOR OIL RECYCLING
The consensus of the Committee was to discontinue the
collection and recycling of motor oil from Village residents and
to refer those residents to other locations which would accept
used motor oil and household hazardous materials, through the
newsletter, press, message board, Channel 6 and signage posted at
the West Side Garage.

NOISE REDUCTION AT LANDMEIER PUBLIC WORKS FACILITY
The consensus of the Committee was to remove this item from
the agenda and address it through measures which would be
provided for in the FY '95- '96 budget .
TRUCKS ON LANDMEIER ROAD
The consensus of the Committee was to concur with Cook County
that a 5-ton weight limit on Landmeier Road would generally be
unenforceable, as recommended by the Village Attorney. In
addition, the Committee requested that staff contact Cook County
to see what the speed limit will be on Landmeier Road upon
completion of the widening project.
1995-1996 HEALTH CARE RENEWAL
The consensus of the committee was to refer this item to the
Personnel Committee for further discussion.
FIRE ADMINISTRATION BUILDING
The Village Manager informed the Village Board that
construction at the Fire Administration Building has been
completed with the exception of furniture installation. Upon the
delivery of furniture, a tour of the facility will be arranged.
The meeting adjourned at 7:55 p.m.
