Womer, CHICAGO TRIBUNE WATER TOWER LOGO DESIGN The consensus of the Committee was to approve design #2, as presented by the Assistant Village Manager, which includes both capital and small letters for the words "Elk Grove" located on each side of the Village logo. REGULATIONS ON "FOR LEASE" SIGNS The consensus of the Committee was as follows: -- to amend the Village Sign Ordinance to limit the placement of 45 sq. ft. "For Lease" signs to new development sites and to have the signs removed and replaced with a 10 ft. sign on individual spaces when 80% of the tenant spaces are leased; and -- to have the Village Attorney prepare the appropriate ordinance for this amendment. - 2 - FIBER OPTIC CABLE The consensus of the Committee was as follows: -- to place a moratorium on the issuance of permits for laying fiber optic cable until a telecommunications ordinance is adopted; and -- to have the moratorium passed by resolution at the April 11 , 1995 Village Board Meeting. CASUAL DRESS POLICY The consensus of the Committee was to approve the casual dress policy for Fridays from June through August, as proposed by the village Manager. VILLAGE SMOKING POLICY The consensus of the Committee was to defer discussion on this issue until a date when all members of the Village Board were present . "VILLAGER" NEWSLETTER ARTICLES The consensus of the Committee was to approve the newsletter articles submitted for mass mailing to all Village residences. REGULATION OF TOWERS AND ANTENNAS Trustee Czarnik summarized the discussion of the March 15, 1995 Joint JPZ/Plan Commission meeting and provided the JPZ 's recommendation to the Committee. The consensus of the Committee was as follows: -- to contact communications companies and arrange a group discussion regarding their tower and antenna needs; and -- have members of village staff and a consultant who are knowledgeable on the communications industry attend the meeting to provide technical assistance to the Village Board. BIESTERFIELD ROAD/ARLINGTON HEIGHTS ROAD IMPROVEMENTS The consensus of the Committee was to enter into negotiations with K-Five Construction to develop a monetary incentive plan for early completion of the improvements at Arlington Heights and Biesterfield Roads. SENIOR HOUSING ON LANDMEIER ROAD The consensus of the Committee was to have the North West Housing Partnership at the April 11, 1995 Committee of the Whole Meeting to provide a conceptual plan of their senior housing development to the Village Board. 3 - PARK 'N' SHOP OUTDOOR BUSINESS LICENSE The consensus of the Committee was to approve the temporary outdoor sale being held by Village Cycle & Sport on April 7, 8, 9 at the Park 'n ' Shop Shopping Center. This item will be discussed as New Business on the March 28, 1995 Village Board Agenda. ITG CONTRACT The consensus of the Committee was to remove this item from the consent agenda, in order to review one clause in it. CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATIONS The consensus of the Committee was as follows: -- to undertake the sidewalk lowering at Arlington Heights and Shelley; -- to respect the residents ' wishes and perform no improvements at Banyan Drive; and -- to send a letter to the residents of Banyan Drive thanking them for their comments. JOURNAL & TOPICS ADVERTISEMENT The Consensus of the Committee was to not advertise in the I995 "Business and Industry Progress Edition" printed by the Journal & Topics newspapers.
