Womer, CHICAGO TRIBUNE MANSARD ROOF REPLACEMENT AT FIRE ADMINISTRATION BUILDING The Village Manager explained that this item was an addendum to the Consent Agenda for the April 25, 1995 Village Board meeting. Village staff obtained three quotes and three options per quote. Staff is recommending the lowest quoted option to complete the repairs to the roof. COMMITTEE ASSIGNMENTS The consensus of the Committee was as follows: -- to have Trustee Rettberg assigned to the Recycling Committee in place of Trustee Petri; -- to create an Information Systems Committee with Trustee Petri as the Chairman and Trustees Lissner and Rettberg as members; and -- to approve all other committee assignments as recommended by the Village President. 2 - -- To maintain the Directors of Northwest Municipal Conference (President Gallitano, Director; 1st alternate Trustee Rettberg; 1st alternate, Village Manager, 2nd Alternate) . ITG CONTRACT The consensus of the Committee was to engage in a 6-month contract with Integrated Technology Group (ITG) for data processing consultant services in the amount of $70,000. This item will be brought up under the Unfinished Business portion of the April 25, 1995 Village Board meeting. LIONS CLUB DONATION The consensus of the Committee was as follows: -- approve a donation of $6,000 to the Lion 's Club for the 1995 fireworks display; and -- to inform the Lion 's Club that the Village expects this amount to be the standard for the next several years. GROOT INDUSTRIES The consensus of the Committee was to authorize the Village Manager to negotiate with Groot Industries for compensation for the extension of Village water and sewer utilities. PEER JURY PROGRAM Deputy Chief Hammar and Sergeant Zimmerman presented the general concept of the peer jury program to the Village Board. After further discussion the consensus of the Committee was as follows: -- to have the Police Department research potential options for community service and their subsequent costs; -- to have staff solicit input from the high school regarding the program. 3 - GTE AIRFONE The consensus of the Committee was to approve the Special Use Permit and Zoning Variation for GTE Airfone subject to them providing a performance bond to insure that the tower/antenna would be removed if they were to vacate the property. "BUSINESS MATTERS" NEWSLETTER The consensus of the Committee was to approve the mass mailing of the "Business Matters" newsletter articles with the addition of an article soliciting information from longtime businesses in the community similar to the article in the "Villager" newsletter seeking longtime residents.
