HOLIDAY DECORATIONS
The consensus of the Committee was to approve the purchase of
holiday banners for the 1995 holiday season in lieu of holiday
decorations. in addition, the consensus of the Committee was to
approve the design of the Fall banners as recommended by the
Banner selection committee.
FALL LEAF COLLECTION REBATE
The consensus of the Committee was to use the $65,000 fall
leaf rebate from Waste Management to offset increases in SWANCC
tipping fees in the future. in addition, the consensus was to
use the $25,000 annual fee from Groot to offset future increases
in SWANCC's tipping fees.
MAKE-A-DIFFERENCE DAY PROJECT
The consensus of the. Committee was to have Staff prepare a
list of "Make A' Difference Day" project ideas for consideration
at the next Committee of the Whole meeting.

EXTENSION OF DIAL-A-RIDE SERVICE
The consensus of the Committee was to temporarily extend
Dial-A-Ride services to the Elk Grove Township facility for a
period of six months due to its close proximity to municipal
boundaries and residential areas of the Village. Ridership
records for this service will be reviewed at the end of the
six-month period.
"BUSINESS MATTERS" NEWSLETTER
The consensus of the Committee was to approve the "Business
Matters" newsletter for mass mailing.
UNDERGROUNDING OF ELECTRICAL LINES
The consensus of the Committee was to delay consideration of
the undergrounding of electrical lines from Cosman to Beisner
Roads pending a response from Commonwealth Edison on how much of
the project they would fund.
40TH ANNIVERSARY COMMITTEE
The consensus of the Committee was to approve the mailing of
a letter soliciting auction donations from local businesses and
to have the 40th Anniversary Committee meet with the Rotary Club
to discuss the possibility of combining the Rotaryfest with the
40th Anniversary Celebration.
ILLINOIS MUNICIPAL LEAGUE (IML) MEMBERSHIP
The consensus of the Committee was to remove this item from
the consent agenda.
PURCHASE OF POLICE SQUAD CARS
The consensus of the Committee was to approve the following
under the new business portion of the agenda at the August 22,
1995 Village Board meeting.
-- waive the formal bidding process;
-- purchase 15 Chevrolet Caprice Classics under the state
contract; and
-- to increase the 1995-96 FY Police budget by $55,000 for
the purchase of 3 additional vehicles beyond the 12
that were budgeted.
