40th ANNIVERSARY COMMITTEE RECOMMENDATIONS
The consensus of the Committee was as follows:
- to approve the revised design of the
40th Anniversary logo;
- to purchase an upgraded pen to be
given as a complimentary gift to
people attending the 40th Anniversary
Dinner/Dance; and
- to keep all license plate numbers
available for auction at the 40th
Anniversary Dinner/Dance.
REVITALIZATION PROGRAM
The consensus of the Committee was as follows:
- to direct the Attorney and staff to prepare
the necessary ordinances to implement
a telecommunications tax which will be
earmarked for Industrial and Commercial
Revitalization;
- to set the level of taxation at 5% which
will be subject to regularly scheduled
reviews; and
- to send a letter to the Greater O'Hare
Association and the Business Liaison
Council informing them of the Village
Board considering the creation of a
redevelopment council, and will be seeking
Elk Grove business owners to sit on that
council .
