ACTIVITY BOOK FOR CHILDREN
The Village Manager presented a draft of an activity book for
children to learn more about the Village. The consensus of the
Committee was to proceed with the development of the Activity
Book.
PUBLIC HEARINGS SCHEDULED FOR FEBRUARY 15
The consensus of the Committee was to reschedule the public
hearing on the Grove Mall from 8:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on February
15 in order to avoid conflict with the Cable TV franchise renewal
public hearing at 7 p.m.
VILLAGE PARADE SUBCOMMITTEE
The Village President informed the Committee of a Community
Service Board subcommittee that is looking for community support
to conduct a Village parade.
ELK GROVE EXCHANGE
Trustees commented on how the picture angle does not capture
all of the trustees when taping the Elk Grove Exchange. The
consensus of the Committee was to contact Channel 6 in order to
have all trustees on camera at one time.
TEMPORARY BANNERS - JEWEL FOOD STORE
The Village President commented on the duration and size of
temporary banners. The consensus of the Committee was to
continue discussion on this matter contingent upon Jewel 's
request to hang additional temporary banners.
CHANNEL 6 TAPING OF FEBRUARY 15 PUBLIC HEARINGS
The consensus of the Committee was to have Channel 6 tape
both public hearings.
REGULATION OF THE SALE OF FIREARMS
The consensus of the Committee was to discuss this item at
the February 8 Committee of the Whole Meeting, including a
possible licensing provision and a resolution advocating stricter
sentences for those using firearms during the commission of a
crime.
The meeting adjourned at 7:44 p.m.
