LEXINGTON HOMES ANNEXATION AGREEMENT
The consensus of the Committee was as follows:
-- Place the water storage tank at the southeast corner of
the site;
-- Allow for the construction of a lift station at the
northwest corner of the property;
-- Have the Village Attorney review a proposed change that
would allow a 5-year instead of a 3-year reversible
clause for purposes of construction completion and
zoning implications; and
-- Have Public Works staff investigate the southeast
corner to ensure the feasibility of water storage tank
construction.
It was noted that a public hearing on the annexation
agreement is scheduled for May 10 at 7:45 p.m.

FIRE SAFETY HOUSE
The consensus of the Committee was as follows:
-- Include in the FY 94-95 Budget the purchase of the fire
safety house;
-- Budget hireback hours to operate the fire safety house
for use only when necessary; and
-- Seek donations from the Lions Club and other groups for
the purchase of the fire safety house.
SYNCHRONIZATION OF ARLINGTON HEIGHTS ROAD TRAFFIC SIGNALS
The consensus of the Committee was to budget $5,000 for a
feasibility study to synchronize traffic signals on Arlington
Heights Road as well as Biesterfield Road.
The committee recessed at 8:40 p.m.
The committee reconvened at 8:47 p.m.
REFUSE DISPOSAL CONTRACT
The consensus of the Committee was to have staff negotiate
the single-family refuse disposal contract with Waste Management
within the following parameters:
-- Maintain the current refuse/recycling/yardwaste
services;
-- Do not switch to a pay-per-bag program;
-- Investigate the overall cost impact to increase the
charge for yardwaste stickers over a three-year period
as follows:
1st Year 2nd Year 3rd Year

-- Consider to eliminate the franchise fee.
COMMERCIAL/INDUSTRIAL RECYCLING ORDINANCE
The consensus of the Committee was to approve the ordinance
with some minor changes and with an effective date of October 1 ,
1994 . This ordinance will be placed on the April 26, 1994 Agenda.

MUNICIPAL BUILDING SIGNAGE
The consensus of the Committee was as follows:
-- Install additional municipal building signage
described as "Option 2" in the Assistant Village
Manager 's April 15, 1994 report; and
-- Reface the two monument signs near the former courtroom
with "Community Center" signage.
VILLAGE NEWSLETTER
The consensus of the Committee to publish 3 residential
newsletters and 3 commercial/industrial newsletters per fiscal
year. There will be no impact on the FY 94-95 budget as a result
of this change.
CULTURAL ARTS CENTER
The consensus of the Committee was to not pursue the request
to fund a cultural art center.
WAIVER OF FEES - PARK DISTRICT
The consensus of the Committee was to not waive liquor
license fees for the Carousel Room.
40TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION
The consensus of the Committee was to have the Community
Service Board develop an idea to celebrate Elk Grove 's 40th
Anniversary in 1996.
JOINT MEETING - VILLAGE BOARD & BICYCLE COMMISSION
The consensus of the Committee was to have a joint meeting
with the Bicycle Commission on May 17 at 6 p.m.
ROTARY FEST
The consensus of the Committee was to have staff look into
Village representation in the form of a banner and commercials at
the Rotary Fest .
NAME BADGES
The consensus of the Committee was to purchase name badges
printed with the Village logo for each Trustee.

Channel 6 Meeting
The consensus of the Committee was to hold a meeting with the
Park District to discuss Channel 6 on May 17 at 5 p.m.
The meeting adjourned at 9 :45 p.m.
