The Village President updated those present on the three
bikeway projects affecting the Village. These include the
internal route, bicycle overpass over I-290 and path along the
Northern Illinois Gas pipeline and Salt Creek-Greenway project.
Discussion took place on the internal bike route for the
Village as recommended by the Bicycle Commission.
In addition to the recommendation of the Bicycle Commission
it was the consensus of those present to pursue the following:
-- Widening of sidewalk to 8 feet on the south side of
Biesterfield Road from Arlington Heights Road to Beisner
Road; and
-- The placement of an information sign advertising the
bike route on the northwest corner of Beisner and
Biesterfield.
