Evanovich, Elk Grove Journal DRIVEWAY APRON REPLACEMENT The consensus of the Committee was to amend present Village policy to allow partial replacement of residential driveway aprons as outlined in a report from the Director of Engineering and Community Development dated May 10, 1994 . CORPORATE COUNSEL INCREASE The consensus of the Committee was to increase the Village Attorney 's hourly rate from $135 to $150 per hour. SENIOR CITIZEN SURVEY The consensus of the Committee was as follows: -- Have the Senior Citizen Subcommittee review the survey; -- Place the survey in the next newsletter; 2 - -- Amend the survey to have survey respondents prioritize their housing needs; and -- Amend the survey to include a question on housing affordability. CHANNEL 6 CONTRIBUTIONS The consensus of the Committee was to contribute 3% (estimated at $108,000) of the 5% in franchise fees that the village receives to the operation of Channel 6. The Village will retain the 2% or roughly $72,000 of the franchise fee revenue. In exchange, Channel 6 will only televise Elk Grove Village programming. REFUSE CONTRACT RENEWAL The consensus of the Committee was to renew the refuse contract with Waste Management for a three-year period as follows: -- Establish a fixed monthly rate for single-family detached units for the term of the contract (3 years) for refuse pickup at $14 .92; -- Establish a single-family attached unit fixed refuse rate at $I1 .06 per month; -- Establish a single-family attached unit with one billing source fixed refuse rate at $11 . 01 per month; -- Establish yardwaste sticker prices at $1 .00 for the first contract year, $1 .25 for year two, and $1 .50 for year three; In addition the consensus of the Committee was to attempt to negotiate with Waste Management to include a clause in the contract that would require lower refuse rates if SWANCC receives lower bid prices than the village received from Waste Management (favored nations -- pricing) . In addition, include 64 gallon toters in the contract along with 90-gallon toters. 3 - EXECUTIVE SESSION Trustee Rettberg moved and Trustee Czarnik seconded a motion to center into Executive Session to discuss a matter of litigation. Upon voting, all Ayes. The motion carried.
