Womer, CHICAGO TRIBUNE SUBURBAN MAYORS ACTION COALITION (SMAC) The consensus of the Committee was to write SMAC informing them that the Village will assist in placing the proposed referendum on the November ballot. PARKWAY TREES ON MEACHAM ROAD The consensus of the Committee was to pursue installation of approximately 152 parkway trees on the west side of Meacham from Nerge to north of Vermont and the east side of Meacham from Biesterfield to north of California. DEVON AVENUE SIDEWALK The consensus of the Committee was to install a five foot sidewalk along Devon Avenue from Somerset to Berkenshire. This project will also be added to the Capital Projects List. GROOT INDUSTRIES, INC. The consensus of the Committee was to grant Groot Industries ' request to connect to Village water and sewer utilities conditional upon the following: -- That Groot Industries disannex from the City of Chicago 2 - and annex to the Village of Elk Grove; or -- That Groot Industries agrees to construct a transfer station at their Elmhurst Road facility in cooperation with SWANCC. In addition, Groot Industries agrees to pay for all expenses associated with the connection to village water and sewer. ELK GROVE CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS The consensus of the Committee was to permit the Center to hold theatre performances in the Super Kmart parking lot . PECORA PROPERTY PROPOSAL It is noted that Ted Pecora is planning to seek annexation and rezoning of his property from single-family to multi-family residential . Pecora plans to submit plans for the multi-family development in the near future. FUND BALANCE RESERVES - CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS The consensus of the Committee was to discuss this item at a September Committee of the Whole. NOISE REDUCTION AT LANDMEIER PUBLIC WORKS FACILITY The consensus of the Committee was to have Staff research the relocation of summer operations currently performed at the Landmeier Public Works facility due to the high noise level from these operations.
