O'Brien, ELK GROVE DAILY HERALD (7:12 p.m. ) BUDGET MEETING SCHEDULE The consensus of the Committee was to schedule the FY 1993-94 Budget meetings on Monday, March 15 at 7 p.m. and Tuesday, March 16 at 7 p.m. in the lower level of the Council Chambers, EXECUTIVE SESSION Trustee Czarnik moved and Trustee Bosslet seconded the motion to enter into Executive Session to discuss litigation. Upon voting, all AYES. The meeting entered Executive Session at 7:15 p.m. The meeting reconvened as a Committee of the Whole at 7:35 p.m. SPRING NEWSLETTER The consensus of the Committee was to approve the articles and mass mailing for the Spring Newsletter. The articles on recycling and refuse will be grouped together and designated as a clip-out item. HUMAN RIGHTS ORDINANCE The Village President reported that he will be testifying before the Cook County Rules Committee on Thursday, March 11 on Human Rights. PECORA PROPERTY REZONING The Village President reported that a resolution opposing the rezoning of the Pecora Property is on the 319193 consent agenda. The resolution will require a super majority (314) vote by the Cook County Board to rezone the property. GROVE MALL The Village President reported that a private partnership is being pursued between the Grove Mall and a developer in order to redevelop the center. HOFFMAN ESTATES STATE MANDATE The Village President reported that the Northwest Municipal Conference is reviewing an ordinance adopted by Hoffman Estates that requires State reimbursement of funds expended to comply with State Mandates. BUSSE DAM LETTER The Village President reported that the County has been notified of our concerns regarding Busse Dam and no response has been received from the Illinois Department of Transportation on our request. HEALTH CARE PLAN RENEWAL The consensus of the Committee was to place all items related to Health Care in the Personnel Committee. A Committee meeting is scheduled for March 25 at 7 p.m. to discuss health care issues. LIONS CLUB - 4TH OF JULY DONATION The Village President reported that the Lions Club is requesting a donation of $5,000 from the Village for their annual fireworks display. This item will be placed on the next agenda. HOLIDAY DECORATION CONTEST AWARDS The Village President reported that the Holiday Decoration Contest Awards will be presented to homeowners at the March 23 Village Board Meeting. CANDIDATE QUESTIONNAIRE The Village President advised the Village Board that the Fraternal Order of Police and International Association of Firefighters are approaching candidates in the upcoming Village Election. POLICE COMMANDER ASSESSMENT CENTER The Village Manager reported that a proposal to conduct an assessment center is currently under review. SOCIAL SERVICES SURVEY The consensus of the Committee was to allow the distribution of the mass mailing survey.
