CAPITAL PROJECTS
The consensus of the Committee was to defer
discussion on capital project items until the June 15
Committee of the Whole Meeting.
STEVENSON SCHOOL CROSSING GUARD
The consensus of the Committee was to concur with
the recommendation of the Village Manager in his May
28 memo: add a crossing guard at Armstrong; remove a
crossing guard at Wildwood/Willow; and eliminate the
noon guard at Wellington.
WHERE ELSE LOUNGE
The consensus of the Committee was to deny the
request of Where Else Lounge to extend their current
liquor serving hours. The Village President will send
a written message indicating the consensus of the
Board.
WINNERS CIRCLE OFF-TRACK BETTING
The consensus of the Committee was to defer any
decision until the June 15 Committee of the Whole
Meeting.
STANDING WATER - 70 FOREST LANE
The consensus of the Committee was to have staff
meet with the resident at 70 Forest Lane to advise the
resident on a way to address the standing water
problem.
GREATER WOODFIELD CONVENTION AND VISITORS BUREAU
ADVERTISEMENT
The consensus of the Committee was to advertise
in the Greater Woodfield Convention and Visitors
Bureau Dining Guide for one year and to have staff
record the number of inquiries from the advertisement .
LAWN MOWING HOURS
The consensus of the Committee was to have staff
prepare a letter to the Elk Grove Park District
informing them of the Reeds ' request for later hours
of lawn mowing at McGee Park.
WATER SUPPLY SYSTEM
The consensus of the Committee was to have this
item placed under Capital Projects of the Committee of
the Whole Agenda .
BOARD OF HEALTH -- COMMUNITY SERVICE BOARD - GOALS
AND OBJECTIVES STATEMENTS
The consensus of the Committee was to meet with
the Board of Health in July at 7 p.m. and Community
Service Board in August at 7 p.m. to discuss their
goals and objectives statements.
JOINT ACTION WATER AGENCY
The Village Manager reported that on Saturday,
June 12 at 9 a.m. , there will be a tour of JAWA 'S
facilities.
COFFEE WITH THE VILLAGE PRESIDENT
The Village President reported that "Coffee with
the Village President" will not be televised.
LIQUOR COMMISSION
The consensus of the Committee was to have staff
prepare an ordinance incorporating our current
practice of liquor licenses to the Village Code. This
item will be placed on future agenda .
TAX LEVIES
The consensus of the Committee was to have staff
examine the issue of separating the Village and
library property tax levies.
TRAVEL REIMBURSEMENT
The consensus of the Committee was to continue
the practice of reimbursement for travel expense
incurred when Village elected officials are conducting
Village business.
SUPER KMART
The Village Manager reported that the Police
Department spoke with the Kmart Construction Manager
regarding the recent construction traffic complaints
of truck traffic.
UNDERGROUNDING OF ELECTRICAL FACILITIES -
BIESTERFIELD ROAD
The Director of Engineering and Community
Development reported that Commonwealth Edison is
experiencing a slight delay on the undergrounding of
electrical facilities due to problems with service
connections.
