O'Brien, Daily Herald PROPERTY TAX CAPS The consensus of the Committee was to have staff draft a resolution opposing property tax caps . SCHAUMBURG SEPTEMBER FEST COMMITTEE The consensus of the Committee was to defer a decision on participation and have staff inquire as to which communities are participating in the Schaumburg Parade. POST OFFICE ZIP CODES The consensus of the Committee was to include the new zip code information in the next newsletter. ELK GROVE BOULEVARD PAVEMENT WIDENING The consensus of the Committee was as follows : -- Widen to the inside Kennedy/Morrison Boulevard from Arlington Heights Road to Elk Grove Boulevard to two (2) eleven-foot lanes in both directions; -- Widen to the inside Elk Grove Boulevard from Arlington Heights Road to Reverend Morrison Boulevard with two (2) eleven-foot lanes in both directions; -- Have staff mark the effects of widening Elk Grove Boulevard to the outside from Reverend Morrison to Victoria with two (2) eleven-foot lanes in both directions . Staff will also mark the inside widening of Elk Grove Boulevard between Kennedy and Morrison. -- Do not widen Elk Grove Boulevard to the inside from Morrison to Victoria; and -- Do not widen Elk Grove Boulevard from Victoria to Tonne. PACE BUS SERVICE Trustee Petri noted that a PACE bus stopped abruptly in the lane of traffic on Busse Road, resulting in a rear collision fatality. The consensus of the Committee was to have staff contact PACE and encourage that a solution to this problem be developed such as designated bus stops and pull-off loading- and drop-off areas . JULY 20 COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING The consensus of the Committee was to cancel the July 20 Committee of the Whole Meeting. EXECUTIVE SESSION Trustee Johnson moved and Trustee Czarnik seconded the motion to enter into Executive Session to discuss a matter of personnel and litigation. Upon voting, all AYES.
