SCHAUMBURG SEPTEMBERFEST PARADE
The consensus of the Committee was to participate in the
Schaumburg's Septemberfest Parade with a fire engine and squad
car.
OFF-TRACK BETTING FACILITY - WINNER 'S CIRCLE
The Village President informed the Committee that he will
speak with representatives from Winner's Circle as to the type of
facility they are planning for Elk Grove. He will further
discuss whether they should be looking at a larger facility.
SEPARATION OF MUNICIPAL AND LIBRARY TAX LEVIES
The Village President informed the Committee that a meeting
with Library representatives is scheduled for August 2 at 11 :30
a .m. on this issue.
RECYCLING REPORT
Trustee Chernick reported that the Recycling Committee met to
discuss possible collection methods in preparation for renewal of
the Solid Waste Disposal Franchise Agreement. This item will be
discussed at a future Committee of the Whole Meeting.
MT. PROSPECT ACCOUNTABILITY ORDINANCE
The Village Manager reported that the ordinance is being
reviewed by the Police Department for consistency in general
enforcement . Upon review by the Police Department the village
Attorney will review the ordinance.
HAMILTON COURT APARTMENTS - SIGNAGE
Trustee Johnson expressed a concern over similar signage that
is being proposed by Hamilton Court along the I-290 corridor.
Trustee Johnson mentioned that language limiting the placement of
such signs should be placed in an ordinance approving the signage
for Hamilton Courts. This item will be mentioned at the 7127193
Village Board Meeting.
TRUSTEE INSTITUTE
Trustees Rettberg and Johnson will attend the Trustees '
Institute sponsored by the Northwest Municipal Conference.
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS ROAD - I-90 ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS
The Village President reported that an agreement outlining
the Village 's responsibilities for roadway improvements along
Arlington Heights Road and the I-90 interchange will be routed to.
Trustees. The agreement has been forwarded to Alan Boffice for
review.
STRATEGIC REGIONAL ARTERIAL - ROUTE 83
The consensus of the Committee was to place this item on the
next Committee of the Whole Agenda.
TRAFFIC SPEEDS - KENNEDY AND ELK GROVE BOULEVARDS
The consensus of the Committee was as follows:
-- Have the Police Department review the traffic speeds
along Kennedy and Elk Grove Boulevard; and
-- Research what past enforcement has shown in that area .
ELK GROVE BOULEVARD PAVEMENT WIDENING
The consensus of the Committee was to have staff research the
impact of. widening Elk Grove Boulevard, to utilities and other
facilities from Reverend Morrison Boulevard to Victoria by 4 to 6
feet .
