OFF-TRACK BETTING FACILITY -- WINNERS CIRCLE
The Village President informed the Committee that Inter-Track
Betting will not be pursuing plans for an off-track betting
facility in Elk Grove.
ELK GROVE BOULEVARD WIDENING
The consensus of the Committee was to widen Elk Grove
Boulevard between Rev. Morrison Boulevard and Victoria, to the
parkway side by six feet (22 feet total lane width) .
SEPARATION OF LIBRARY AND MUNICIPAL TAX LEVY
The Village President informed the Committee that the Library
and the Village will work together on the public hearing issue
for the combined tax levy. The Director of Finance and Mark West
from the Library are drafting a Memorandum of Understanding to
address that issue.
REFUSE DISPOSAL ISSUES
The consensus of the Committee was to place this item on the
agenda for the Committee of the Whole meeting on August 17, after
the meeting with the Community Service Board.
INCREASE IN RETAINER FEE -- FIRE AND POLICE COMMISSION ATTORNEY
The consensus of the Committee was to increase the monthly
retainer fee for the Fire & Police Commission Attorney from $140
to $160.
KNOX BOX MASS MAILING
The consensus of the Committee was to approve the mass
mailing to commercial and industrial holders of Knox boxes.
RESOLUTION OBJECTING TO PROPERTY TAX CAPS
The consensus of the Committee was to have Staff provide a
generic draft of the property tax cap resolution at the 8-17-93
Committee of the Whole Meeting.
PLAN COMMISSION AND ZBA DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The consensus of the Committee was to open the lines of
communication as outlined in the August 5, 1993 memo from the
Administrative Assistant .
PARENTAL RESPONSIBILITY ORDINANCE
The consensus of the Committee was to place this item on the
JPZ Committee agenda.
PACE BUS STOPS ALONG BUSSE ROAD
The consensus of the Committee was to confer with PACE to
establish bus stops and bus shelters along Busse Road.
ELK GROVE EXCHANGE CALL-IN FORMAT
The consensus of the Committee was to have callers identify
themselves by first name, last name, and address.
STRATEGIC REGIONAL ARTERIAL - ROUTE 83 NORTH AND CENTRAL PANEL
MEETINGS
The consensus of the Committee was to discuss this item after
the 8-10-93 Village Board Meeting.
