COMMUNITY SERVICE BOARD
The Village Board met with the Community Service Board for
the purpose of discussing the Community Service Board Strategic
Planning goals and objectives. Community Service Board President
Paliganoff presented the plan.
The concensus of both the Village Board and the Community Service
Board was :
-- for the Community Service Board to serve as a referral
agency, but be proactive, innovative and involved
and attempt to develop programs that may be spun-off
to other groups .
-- a need for more public awareness and increased
visibility of the Community Service Board and
Office.
-- increased dialogue between the two boards regarding
new programs .
-- to have the Community Service Board provide names
of residents who might be interested in serving
on the proposed Youth Commission including a member
of the Community Service Board.
-- to place an article into the Elk Grove Villager
newsletter outlining Community Service activities .
In addition, staff is looking into placing the
Community Service Brochure into the new resident
packet.
President Gallitano requested tc attend the October 21st Community
Service Board meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 8: 02 p.m.
