PESTICIDE BILL LAWSUIT
The consensus of the Committee was as follows:
-- to participate as a party in the pesticide bill lawsuit;
and
-- obtain from Schaumburg an estimate on the projected
costs of the lawsuit.
RED RIBBON WEEK
The consensus of the Committee was to participate in Red
Ribbon Week Activities from October 23 to 31 .
CABLE TELEVISION ISSUES
The consensus of the Committee was to become certified with
the FCC as a franchising authority. A resolution on this matter
will be placed on the 9/28/93 agenda.
HANDICAP PARKING SPACES FINES
The consensus of the Committee was to increase the fine for
parking in a handicap parking stall to $100. An ordinance
changing the fine will be placed on the 9/28193 agenda .
CHANNEL SIX BUDGET PRESENTATION
Mike Hinko from Channel Six was present to discuss Channel 6
Operations and answer questions from the Committee on the
station 's programming or funding matters.
The consensus of the Committee was as follows:
-- Have Channel Six inform the Committee on the amount of
air time that is given to Elk Grove and other
communities; and
-- Have Channel Six give yearly presentations to the
Committee at the beginning of each year on Channel Six
operations.
The meeting adjourned at 9:18 p.m.
