REFINANCE GENERAL OBLIGATION BOND ISSUE
The -consensus of the Committee was as follows:
-- To refund $10,000,000 in General Obligation Bonds;
-- To accept the estimated $566,000 savings upfront;
and
-- to adopt a resolution authorizing the refunding of
the General obligation bonds and designating Ron
Norene as Financial Advisor, First Chicago as
underwriter and Chapman and Cutler as bond counsel
at the October 12 Village Board Meeting.
COMPUTER NETWORK CONTRACT
The Village President noted that this item is on the October
12 Consent Agenda .
ILLINOIS CONVENTION CENTER AUTHORITY APPOINTMENT
The consensus of the Committee was to appoint Laurie Stone,
Executive Director of Greater O 'Hare, to the Convention Center
Board. The appointment will be made at the October 12 Village
Board Meeting.
COMMUNITY SERVICE BOARD APPOINTMENT
The consensus of the Committee was to appoint Ann Feichter to
the Community Service Board. The appointment will be made at the
October 12 Village Board Meeting.
VICTORIA BANQUETS FUNDING PROPOSAL
The consensus of the Committee was to not participate in
financing the Victoria Banquets project.
STREET SIGN CONVERSION FROM ENGLISH TO METRIC UNITS
The consensus of the Committee was to recommend a quick
conversion method for the transition.
PACE FIXED BUS STOPS ON BUSSE ROAD
The consensus of the Committee was as follows:
-- have staff consult with the Greater O 'Hare Association
on the recommended fixed bus stops as detailed in the
October 6 memo from the Administrative Assistant; and
-- Upon concurrence from Greater O'Hare Association,
proceed with PACE to establish the fixed bus stops; and
-- obtain from PACE the procedure for implementing the
fixed bus stops.
YOUTH IN GOVERNMENT
The Village President outlined the list of events for the
Youth in Government Program with the Elk Grove High School . The
schedule of events will be distributed to all Board members.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Trustee Czarnik moved and Trustee Rettberg seconded the
motion to enter into Executive Session to discuss a matter of
litigation. The motion carried unanimously.
