COMMUNITY REINVESTMENT ACT MEETING
The Village President reported of a meeting between himself
and the executives of various banks in Elk Grove to discuss the
Community Reinvestment Act and its impact on Elk Grove Village.
A future meeting of a subcommittee from this group is scheduled
to meet November 9 at 4 p.m. Minutes from the meeting will be
distributed.
OCTOBER 5 JPZ COMMITTEE MEETING
It was noted by members of the JPZ Committee that the Village
Attorney will be reviewing the recommendation of the JPZ
Committee on the regulation of handguns and not drafting
legislation for the same as indicated in the minutes for the
October 5 JPZ Committee Meeting.
FINANCE PRESENTATION
The Director of Finance made a presentation on the historical
trends and current status of the Village 's major revenue sources,
expenditures and fund balances.
The consensus of the Committee was to discuss the water and
sewer fund analysis at a future Committee of the Whole Meeting.
YOUTH IN GOVERNMENT
The consensus of the Committee was as follows:
- to contact the Elk Grove High School and receive the
student assignments for Village Trustees and Staff; and
-- to arrange for a student tour for those students
participating in Youth in Government of the JAWA and
Northwest Central Dispatch facilities on Wednesday,
November 15.
FCC CERTIFICATION IDENTIFICATION NUMBER
The consensus of the Committee was to have staff contact
Continental Cable for the correct Elk Grove identification number
for certification with the FCC.
The meeting recessed at 8:50 p.m.
The meeting readjourned at 8:52 p.m.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Trustee Johnson motioned to enter into Executive Session to
discuss a matter of litigation. Trustee Rettberg seconded the
motion. The motion carried unanimously.
The meeting adjourned at 8:53 p.m.
