Evanovich, Elk Grove Times LINK SCHOOL -- NO PARKING SIGNAGE The consensus of the Committee was to create no parking on the west side of Glenn Trail in front of Link School . BOARDWALK STREET DEDICATION The Village President indicated that this matter is still under discussion between staff and the attorney representing Boardwalk. VICTORIA BANQUET FACILITY The Village President indicated that Victoria Banquets will be providing the Village with a proposal in the near future. The consensus of the Committee was for staff to check on the background of the liquor license holders of Victoria 's in Norridge. CHANNEL 6 - ELK GROVE EXCHANGE The consensus of the Committee was to reschedule the December 3 meeting to a later date. VILLAGE SAFETY MANUAL The consensus of the Committee was to place this item into the Personnel Committee. REGULATION OF THE SALE OF FIREARMS Trustee Czarnik, The Chairperson of the JPZ Committee, brought the Board up-to-date on the recommendation of the JPZ Committee. It was the consensus of the Committee to have the Village Attorney draft an Ordinance as follows: 1 . Prohibiting the commercial sale of handguns in the Village, excluding wholesale, manufacturing, importing, or sale of relic firearms; 2. Prohibiting the transportation of any BB/pellet gun within any motor vehicle in an area accessible to any occupant of the vehicle; 3. Raising the minimum age limit from 13 to 18 for an individual to purchase any BB/pellet gun; and 4 . Prohibiting the commercial sale of handgun style BB/pellet guns. In addition, it was the consensus of the Committee to accept public comment on the proposed ordinance prior to the consideration to adopt the ordinance at a Village Board meeting. PARENTAL RESPONSIBILITY ORDINANCE The Chairperson of the JPZ Committee brought the Board up-to-date on the Committee 's discussions. The Board entertained discussion from the audience, including those participating in the student Government program. Suggestions brought forth include: 1 . Hold students, not parents, responsible for their individual action; 2. Establish a Juvenile Court (peer review) System in Elk Grove; 3 . Eliminate students ' motor vehicle privileges; 4 . Require tours of prisons; 5 . Require meetings with those involved in an alcohol related accident, and 6.
