TRANSITION OF CHANNEL 6
The Committee discussed a memo dated December 19, regarding
Channel 6 transition.
The consensus of the Committee was to approve the plans for
the Village transition of Channel 6 as recommended in the
December 19 memo, including:
• Use of Village/High School partnership for shared
studio space, equipment for High School student usage,
and Village personnel for training purposes.
• Use of Council Chambers for live studio purposes;
• Creation of Channel 6 production and office space on
2°d floor of Fire Administration building using Capital
Projects Funds;
• Acquisition of new equipment for Channel 6 purposes;
• Minor rehabilitation work on video production vans;
and,
• Development of existing and new programming.
The consensus of the Committee was to review additional
logo designs at the January 14 Committee of the Whole
meeting. Other suggestions included potential "Friends of
Channel 6" fundraising. in addition, Village staff needs
to finalize an Intergovernmental Agreement with District
214 and staffing issues for future Village Board action.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Trustee Lissner moved and Trustee Petri seconded a motion
to enter Executive Session to discuss Personnel &
litigation. Upon voting, all AYES. Motion carried
unanimously.
The meeting entered Executive Session at 8:25 p.m. The
meeting recessed from Executive Session at 8:40 p.m.
ROHLWING-DEVON UPDATE
The Village Board requested an update of the Rohlwing-Devon
shopping center at an upcoming meeting.
PARADE GRAND MARSHALL
Trustee Czarnik noted that the Lions Club has been selected
as the Grand Marshall for the June 2003 parade.
The meeting adjourned at 8:40 p.m.
