City Club of Chicago -Breakfast
On Monday, September 13,the City Club of Chicago will be hosting a breakfast and
presentation, with the topic being "Resolving Chicago's Aviation Crisis." Following a brief
discussion of who could attend the consensus of the Committee was to have staff reserve a table
of 10 for elected officials and staff.
Sister City Visit
After reviewing the proposed itinerary of the October Sister City visit, it was the consensus of
the Committee to have the Village host a welcome reception, provide a tour of the Municipal
Complex, host a reception for the October 12 Board meeting and attend the Sister City dance on
October 15.
Motorized Scooters
Following a brief discussion, it was the consensus of the Committee to make recommended
changes to the Village Code prohibiting battery operated scooters and skateboards. An
ordinance doing so will be placed on the next Village Board agenda.
Multi-Family Garbage Collection
Follow discussion, it was the consensus of the Committee to send one more letter from the
Mayor&Board of Trustees to the association requesting compliance by October with the
Department Health & Community Services regarding their garbage collection.
Class C Property Tax Incentive
Follow a brief discussion, it was the consensus of the Committee to grant the Class C property
tax incentive for environmental remediation.

Follow a lengthy discussion,it was the consensus of the Committee to either: remove the railroad
ties and bushes and re-grade the property to form a natural swale and assume no further
responsibility or split the costs of the repairs with the homeowner to make necessary repairs and
assume no further responsibility, whichever the homeowner prefers.
Executive Session
Trustee Petri motioned and Trustee Prochno seconded a motion to enter Executive Session to
discuss Personnel. Upon voting, all AYES. Motion was carried unanimously.
The meeting adjourned at 7:53 p.m.
