TAX ON SENIORS
The letter from Judson Stone of the Elk Grove-Schaumburg Townships Mental Health
Center was discussed. Mr. Stone has requested that the Village require .50C to
$1.00 per square foot from senior citizen complexes to help community agencies to
provide services. Trustees Hauser and Gallitano thought it was a good concept,
especially as the Village collects recaptures and municipal purpose fund contribu-
tions from other developers. President Zettek said that local government should not
get involved with this societal problem.
It was agreed that a copy of Mr. Willis' response be routed. Consensus was that
the Village should not be involved in this.
BUDGET
A budget review schedule was established. Meetings will be held at 7:00 p.m.
on March 3, 4, 6, 10, 17 and 18 in the Council Chamber.
SENIOR CONGREGATE HOUSING
President Zettek said he would direct the Board of Health to do the impact
study on senior congregate housing. No objection was made.
The meeting ended at 12 :22 p.m.
