MEETING WITH GOVERNOR THOMPSON
President Zettek announced that (barring inclement weather)
Governor Thompson will be in Elk Grove Village on March 12 (via
helicopter) at the Northwest Point development to discuss the
possible full interchange at Arlington Heights Road and the North-
west Tollway. Present at that meeting will be President Zettek,
President Ryan (Arlington Heights) , Mr. Willis and Mr. Bonder.
SPEED LIMIT ON BIESTERFIELD ROAD
Discussion took place regarding the relative merits of
retaining the current 30 mph limit on Biesterfield Road (between
Rohlwing Road and Meacham Road) or reducing it to 25 mph. President
Zettek supported current limit based on the design and location of
the roadway and based on the report/recommendation from the Police
Department. Trustee Tosto concurred. Trustee Chernick supported
reducing the limit to make the roadway safer.
