COMMERCIAL PARKING LOT CONSTRUCTION STANDARDS
Following brief discussion, the consensus was to adopt a
parking lot construction standards ordinance which would require
a strength of 2.5 for parking stall areas and a strength of 3.0
for driveways and interior driving lanes. The Capital Improve-
ments Committee will recommend this action at the 6-24-86 Village
Board meeting.
Trustee Gallitano requested that Staff prepare information
regarding possible requirements for green areas and plant material
in shopping center lots.
SIDEWALKS/CARRIAGE WALKS IN INDUSTRIAL AREAS
Various methods of sidewalk /carriagewalk repairs were dis-
cussed , as well as the relative advantages and disadvantages of
eliminating both in the industrial areas of the Village. The
Judiciary, Planning and Zoning Committee will meet on June 30
to tour Nicholas Boulevard between Pratt Boulevard and Landmeier
Road to make a determination and recommendation to the Committee
of the Whole.
Members agreed to having the Nicholas Boulevard improvements
design include setback sidewalks.
LEAVE OF ABSENCE
A majority of the members agreed to leave the existing
Leave of Absence policy as it is, currently. The item will be
removed from the Personnel Committee agenda.
