OTHERS PRESENT: Jim Heffern, President, Elk Grove Park District
Jack Claes, Director, Elk Grove Park District
Bill Kelly, Channel 6
Jim Heffern advised the Board that it's the Park District's
desire to expand the networking of Channel 6. Lack of funds to
expand employee's hours results in an inability to accommodate
requests for programming. He requested receiving the remaining
franchise fee funds as follows:
Current Elk Grove 3% Park District 2%
May 1, 1988 Elk Grove 2% Park District 3%
May 1, 1989 Elk Grove 1% Park District 4%
May 1, 1990 Elk Grove 0% Park District 5%
While the Park District request was to start the change
January 1, 1988, the Village Manager noted that the franchise fees
were already earmarked for general corporate purposes during the
current fiscal year.
