STAFF PRESENT: Charles Willis , Village Manager

George Coney, Director of Finance
Jack Claes and Bill Kelly of the Elk Grove Park
District (with Jim Heffern present ) made a presentation
. requestinq a Village contribution out of Cable franch-
ise fees for the development of , equipment for , and main-
tenance of a television studio. It was estimated that
the initial cost for changing the band room at Lively
Junior High School into a Studio with equipment would
be $135 , 000 . The annual operating maintenance and supply
cost was estimated at $40 , 000 .
Consensus was to fund the proposal. Studio
completion would take approximately 90 days.
Staff was directed to finalize the proposal with
the Park District and place it on the agenda for Village
Board action.
