Charles Willis, Village Manager Gary Parrin, Assistant Village Manager Robin Weaver, Administrative Assistant Charles Henrici, Fire Chief Thomas Cech, Director, Pubic Works Jack Gray, Vehicle Maintenance Foreman George Coney, Director of Finance Hilda ingebrigtsen, Assistant Finance Director Others Present: Fred Borich, Naras Statkus, Donohue & Associates FUTURE FIRE STATION/REMODELING FOR PUBLIC WORKS Members reviewed current plans to remodel the two (2) Public Works Department buildings in light of the possibility of a future additional fire station. A new fire station would allow the Public Works Department to utilize the current Landmeier fire station. Space needs, timetables and costs were reviewed. Consensus was to authorize staff to go out for bids on the proposed Public Works remodeling. At this time the Landmeier Station would not be relocated. SANITARY SEWER SYSTEM - POLICE DEPARTMENT Trustee Tosto recommended, based on the Village Engineer's March 6, 1988 memorandum, that the Village eliminate the sanitary sewer pumps in the Police garage and make modifications for a gravity based system. Following discussion, consensus was for the Village Manager to accept the proposal. REAL ESTATE TRANSFER TAX Following discussion, members agreed to a real estate transfer tax of 3110 of one percent (or $3.00 for every $1,000 of sale) with rebates on residential property for senior citizens and persons moving within Elk Grove Village of 2110 of one percent (or $2.00 for every $1,000 of sale). 9:52 p.m. Adjournment mw
