HomeMy WebLinkAboutCOMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE - 03/22/1988 - SOLID WASTE/NORTRAN/WINDEMERE TRAFFIC COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MINUTES March 22, 1988 MEMBERS PRESENT: Charles Zettek, Village President Michael Tosto, Village Trustee Edward Hauser, Village Trustee James Petri, Village Trustee Ronald Chernick, Village Trustee Joseph Bosslet, Village Trustee Dennis Gallitano, Village Trustee MEMBERS ABSENT: None STAFF PRESENT: Charles Willis, Village Manager Gary Parrin, Assistant Village Manager Robin Weaver, Administrative Assistant George Knickerbocker, Village Attorney Phil Perna, Assistant Village Engineer Charles Henrici, Fire Chief OTHERS PRESENT: Bob Greene, Realtor Edward Moore, Realtor Rochelle Fosco, Resident Dave McKinney, HERALD Reporter Ann Marie Ligas, TIMES Reporter SOLID WASTE Consensus was not to have $5,000 of seed money for the balefill returned to the Village but instead allow the NWMC to use the money to develop a recycling program in concert with other members of the Solid Waste Agency. RORTRAN Consensus was to reappoint Stanley Klyber as EIk Grove Village's representative to Nortran. WINDEMERE TRAFFIC Discussion ensued about a letter and petition from residents of the Windemere and Windemere Trails subdivision. Their request is for the Village to prohibit southbound vehicles on Plum Grove Road to turn left (east) onto Oriole Drive during the morning rush hours. Staff is discussing the possibility with Cook County.
