PARKING REQUIREMENTS B-2 DISTRICT
Chuck Byrum and Leo Lenaghan stated that they, as well
as other owners of B-2 strip shopping centers, felt that the
village's parking requirements were excessive. They also noted
that as the requirements were based on actual uses, it was
difficult to lease stores and difficult for the Village to enforce.
They stated that they would commission a professional outside
firm to conduct a study if the Village would consider the results.
A consensus agreed that they would review such a report/study
and were open minded on the subject.
TRAFFIC SIGNALS
Members agreed to pay for temporary signals at Arlington
Heights Road and south Northwest Point Road.
OPEN HOUSE
Members agreed to have an open house of the municipal
building for the general public.
NORTHWEST TOLLWAY/ARLINGTON HEIGHTS ROAD INTERCHANGE
Members directed Staff to raise the issue of a median
in Higgins Road as part of roadway improvements to help accommodate
pedestrians and bicyclists who wish to cross the road.
Adjourned to Executive Session.
