MINUTES
April 19, 1988
MEMBERS PRESENT: Charles Zettek, Village President
Michael Tosto, Village Trustee

SOLID MASTS AGENCY
President Zettek noted that the Village Manager had been
elected to the Solid Waste Agency's Executive Committee.
I-290/Bi.esterfield Road Interchange
President Zettek noted that all 38 members of the Northwest
Municipal Conference voted for a resolution supporting the
I-290/Biesterfield Road interchange.
CLRARBROOR
Members considered Clearbrook Center's request for a financial
contribution. Consensus was against it.
ROTARY
Members considered the Rotary Club's request for a financial
contribution. Consensus was to contribute $3,000. not $5,000.
GREATER WOODFZRLD
President Zettek noted that the annual meeting of the Greater
Woodfield Convention and Visitors Bureau was held today. As
the State has not yet made any financial commitment to the
convention center project, municipalities are not currently being
scheduled for presentations.
SBL REOURST
Members reviewed a request to amend the SBL Annexaiton
Agreement to permit a B-3 use in a B-2 District. Consensus was
in agreement with the village Manager's memorandum which
recommended denial.
RECYCLING
Recycling efforts were briefly discussed. President Zettek
advised that the Village wait for the Solid Waste Agency's plans.
The village Manager noted that it was likely that there would
be economic incentives for communities to recycle.
The meeting was adjourned to Executive Session at 8:20 p.m.
