ARLINGTON HEIGHTS/TOLLROAD INTERCHANGE
Trustee Gallitano talked with Nancy (from IDOT) about
the volume of pedestrian traffic on Higgins Road at Arlington
Heights Road. Gallitano did his own pedestrian count on
Saturday, May 21. There were 160 persons/hour and 279
persons/hour crossing Higgins Road at 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
respectively.
Staff is to pursue distribution of a Village posture
to IDOT about an underpass, overpass or a wider median to
accommodate the Forest Preserve users of the bike path. The
Village Engineer will use the pedestrian counts from Trustee
Gallitano for presentation to IDOT.
VILLAGE ATTORNEY'S REPORT
On May 25 at 9 a.m. the Circuit Court will consider
the Tierney law suit at the Daley Center.
Federal Court imposed a $1,000 fine as sanctions against
Sullivan's law firm for his representing Arnold/Stone and his
misrepresentation contained in their suit.
Circuit Court Judge Richard Curry dismissed the sign _
industry suit against the Village which precludes billboards
from being installed on major State roadways throughout the
Village.
