PARKWAY TRESS
Zettek advised the Board of a concern that the drought is
causing an inordinate amount of dead parkway trees. Parkway trees
need to be watered not only to thrive in the summer but also to
survive the winter.
It was agreed that a letter would be sent to residents
requesting that they water parkway trees. In the letter would
be instructions on what to do to help the parkway trees survive
the drought.
COA4fOSICArZOWS CAROLS
It was agreed that Staff would prepare another mailing to
the community for distribution of the Citizen Communication Card.
It's been three years since the last mailing. Send 5 cards rather
than 10 cards.
RECYC "G
Gallitano noted that the Recycling Committee met with Garden
City last week. Evenhouse was asked to submit specifics on his
proposed program for the Village.
The Health Coordinator is contacting other scavengers on
waste recycling programs.
NEW LIBRARY
Construction plans and financing for the library require,
under State law, municipal review. Willis advised the Board of
this fact and that a building permit is not only necessary but
requires Village Board action to release the permit.
rEWCss
The Board discussed the proposed ordinance and several issues
needed to be resolved concerning the location of a fence to the
front of the home. It will be discussed further at a Committee
of the Whole meeting.
