CUPP ANNESATION
The Assistant Village Manager displayed the site plan
for the Oaktoi Annexation.
NISE EXTENSION
The Village Engineer advised the Board that all grading,
seeding, and landscaping will be completed this year.
Additional landscaping will be installed on the north side
of the extension west of Michigan Lane.
I-290 DIESTERFIRLD INTERCHAAGK
Gallitano expressed concern over the roadway improvements
needed on Rohlwi.ng Road between Nerge and Biesterfield Roads.
He added that the roadua y improvements should be completed
by the time the Biesterfield interchange is open to traffic
so that Rohlwing Road can adequately handle the traffic.
MEETING WITH COCK COUNTY FOREST PRESERVE, ZDOT, AND Azz
GROVE VILLAGE
Gallitano reported on the meeting which was held on
Friday, September 9, 1988 at IDOT. Alternatives for
construction of either an overpass, underpass, or alterations
for a bike path/walkway at the intersection of Arlington
Heights and Higgins Roads were discussed. IDOT will be
taking traffic counts to determine whether there would be
any State costs associated with the project.

The Recycling Committee met with Garden City and Waste
Management. The recyclables discussed at the meeting
included:
1. newspapers
2. aluminum and tin cans
3. glass
4. plastic milk jugs
Discussion is pending whether Garden City or Elk Grove Village
will do the end marketing of recyclables. The recycling
program would be linked to an extension of the franchise
agreement.
