REAL ESTATE TRANSFER TAX
Consensus was to concur with the Finance Director's
recommendation to amend Ordinance No. 1961 as it pertains to Senior
Citizen Rebates on the Real Estate Transfer Tax.
At 7:30 p.m. the Committee of the Whole meeting was recessed
to go into Executive Session to discuss Land Acquisition.
The Committee of the Whole resumed at 9:20 p.m.

Ed Evenhouse, Garden City Disposal
RECYCLING
Members discussed curbside recycling with representatives
from Waste Management and Garden City. Members stressed the
importance of educating the residents and the need for community
involvement in order to establish a successful recycling program.
Staff was directed to prepare a layout of the proposed
recycling program and to organize a plan to inform and educate
residents about the recycling program.
