MAILBOXES
The Village Board considered the proposal from Public
Works not to replace mailboxes damaged during snowplow operations
if the mailboxes were not installed in accordance with U.S. Postal
Service regulations.
Consensus of the Board was not to deviate from our current
replacement policy. If the Village damages the mailbox and post,
the Village will replace the mailbox and post with its standard
replacement materials regardless of the materials used by the
resident for the mailbox and post that were damaged.
The Village will notify residents in the next Newsletter
of the U.S. Postal Service installation standards.
