HomeMy WebLinkAboutCOMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE - 11/22/1988 - COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE MEETING November 22, 1988 7 p.m. Elk Grove Village MEMBERS PRESENT: Charles Zettek, Village President Michael Tosto, Village Trustee Edward Hauser, Village Trustee Ronald Chernick, Village Trustee Joseph Bosslet, village Trustee Dennis Gallitano, village Trustee MEMBERS ABSENT: James Petri, Village Trustee STAFF PRESENT: Charles Willis, Village Manager Julie Carius, Administrative Assistant Mike Cavallini, Sanitarian George Knickerbocker, Village Attorney OTHERS PRESENT: Two Members of the Press PRIVATE RECYCLING PRWECTS Members discussed what the Village's public policy should be on private recycling efforts. Consensus was to encourage private recycling as long as those involved in such efforts continued to comply with Ordinance #1991 which prohibits the removal of any recyclables already placed in Village recycling bins. The Village will not provide a letter of support or approval for a private recycling activity. PLW4 GROVE ROAD - WISE ROAD EXTENSION Members directed staff to study and determine the current and future needs (if any) of turn prohibition signs on Plum Grove Road at Julie, oriole and University; and at Gibson/Biesterfield. KIMBALL HILL (TALBOT'S MILL) DEVELOPMENT Consensus was to continue the Committee of the whole session following the Village Board meeting to discuss the proposed develop- ment.
