SHAVER RENTAL LEASE
Members reviewed and discussed the 1-26-89 memo from
the Assistant Village Manager regarding the Shaver's rental
lease for 1703 West Biesterfield Road which expires on 2-28-89.
Consensus was to agree with the Assistant Village
Manager's recommendation and extend the lease for a four-month
period with the understanding that the home would still be
placed for sale on March 1, 1989.
FISCAL YEAR 1989-90 BUDGET
Consensus was to have the FY 89-90 Budget Committee
be a Committee of the Whole. The dates for the Budget review
would be: Tuesday, February 21; Thursday, February 23; Monday,
February 27; and Thursday, March 2.
MASS MAILING - ENHANCED 9-1-1 INFORMATION
Members reviewed copies of the informational letters
which will be mailed to Village residents and
industrial/commercial tenants explaining the Enhanced 9-1-1
emergency telephone system. Consensus was to agree with the
Fire and Police Chiefs' request and authorize the mailing
of a specific information letter to residents, as well as
a letter geared toward industrial and commercial tenants
in the community.
IDOT BIXE CROSSING AT HIGGINS ROAD
Members reviewed and discussed a report identifying
four alternatives for providing safe pedestrian movements
across Higgins Road at Arlington Heights Road. Members also
discussed funding, ownership, and maintenance of the crossing.

Consensus was to consider sharing the cost with the
other agencies involved.
I-290 INTERCHANGE
Members inquired about the width of the sidewalk over
the bridge. Staff was directed to compile information
regarding the dimensions of the sidewalk, barrier curbs and
configuration, as well as railings.
Consensus was to encourage the construction of a bike
path with a width greater than 5 feet.
NM LIBRARY FACILITY
Members expressed concern over the wording of the
intergovernmental agreement between the Village and the Library
for the exchange of properties.
SIGNAGE - NINDANME SUBDIVISION
Members discussed a recommendation from the Police
Department to amend regulatory signage requirements within
the Windemere Subdivision. Consensus was to concur with
the Police Department's recommendation and amend the signage
requirements accordingly.
D.A.R.R. PUNAS
Consensus was to authorize the Police Department to
pursue grant monies through School District #54 for the drug
education program.
Members addressed the need for Staff also to contact
School District #59 on this matter.
RCOffOMIC DEVELOPMENT SUNKARY
The Village President noted that the Village's Economic
Development Consultants submitted their summary report on
January 25, 1989.
Members briefly discussed 6B Tax Status as mentioned
in the report.
