Consensus was to place an article about Elk Grove Village in this
annual journal.
ELK GROVE BOWL VARIATION
Members received a request for a variation from Elk Grove Bowl which
would allow them to maintain seven (7) amusement machines at the bowling alley.
According to Village Ordinance, only five (5) machines are allowed as an
accessory use.
Consensus was to take the matter under advisement and direct staff
to investigate the situation and prepare a recommendation for Village Board
review. Both the Zoning Ordinance and Licensing Ordinance would need to be
amended to accomplish the request.
KIMBALL HILL AMENDMENT TO ANNEXATION AGREEMENT
Consensus was to authorize a Public Hearing to be held on
April 11, 1989, for the amendment to the annexation agreement.
CUSTODIAL FUNCTION-PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT
Members reviewed a request from the Director of Public Works to
authorize staff to advertise and fill a vacant part-time custodial position
with a full-time custodian in order to have an adequate number of
custodians for the remainder of the fiscal year and to aid in the
restructuring transition beginning May 1, 1989.
Consensus was to concur with the recommendation and authorize the
hiring of one full-time custodian.
FISCAL YEAR 1989-90 BUDGET HEARING
The Assistant village Manager noted that the FY 89-90 Budget
Hearing would be held at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday, March 28, 1989.

2-COCK COUNTY PUBLIC REARING
Members and staff reviewed the status of the Cook County Zoning
Board hearing held on March 3, 1989 regarding the rezoning of a two (2) lot
parcel located on the north side of Devon Avenue, west of Ridge (Seay
property).
Staff noted that during the public hearing, the petitioner
stated his intention to tap on to Village water. Members questioned
whether the subject property is located within the flood plain area.
Consensus was to direct staff to determine whether the subject
property infringes in the flood control area and to prepare a Resolution
responding to these issues, which will be filed with Cook County.
ROSELLE-WBBM TOWER
The Village President noted that several residents would be
attending the Village Board meeting that evening in order to ask for the
Village's support in opposing the Roselle-WBBM tower which has been
approved by the Roselle Village Board.
