COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE
MEETING
October 24 , 1989

LAKE FOREST GRADUATE SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT
Met with representatives of the graduate school on Monday,
October 23 . The school representatives are going to submit
several possible alternatives for the Village to consider that
would enable the school to be built on the Rohlwing Road parcel
and provide some benefit or return to the Village.
JPZ COMMITTEE
The skateboard ordinance will be presented to the Village
Board for a first ,reading. The ordinance will be considered for
a vote at the November 14 Village Board meeting.

PROBATIONARY PERIOD FOR SWORN PERSONNEL
The State of Illinois preempted local determination for
Firefighter probationary period and established 12 months.
Staff will study whether Police Officers can begin the
probationary period after their 12-13 week training period, or
if the training period can be added to the 12-month probationary
period.
IMRF LIFE INSURANCE
The Village Board had no objection to allowing employees to
purchase additional life insurance coverage at the employee ' s
cost.
