COMMITTEE 'OF THE WHOLE MEETING
November 28, 1989

HANDICAPPED PARKING
Concensus of the committee was to maintain the fee for handicapped
parking violations at $50.00.
CBS/WBBM TOWER
A meeting is being scheduled for next week between Village and CBS
officials to discuss the relocation of the WBBM tower to Roselle.
TIERNEY LAWSUIT
Tierney and Calderone will be in Circuit Court on Wednesday,
November 29 to petition the court to close the Biesterfield extension.
POLICE DEPARTMENT MANPOWER
Concensus of the committee was to maintain the Community Service Officer
(CSO) position, add one position to the current authorized strength of
65 , and create 4 additional temporary police officer positions in the
Police Department. The temporary positions would be deleted through
attrition of Police Officers, until the authorized strength of 66 is met .
MEDICAL INSURANCE
The Personnel Officer reported that the existing contracts for Village
Medical Insurance expire at the end of December. The concensus of the
committee was to hold a committee-of-the-whole meeting on December 5 at
7:30 p.m. to discuss premium increases, consultant fees, and the self-
insurance program

PARK
2-PARK LAND TRANSFER
The Village Manager reported that the Park District is preparing a
plan and schedule for developing the Windemere park property; a plan
for keeping the parcel open for public use and properly maintained, and
is reviewing public land transfer documents.
CANCELLATION OF REGULARLY SCHEDULED MEETINGS
Concensus of the committee was to cancel the December 19 and 26
committee-of-the-whole meetings, and the December 26 Village Board
meeting.
The meeting was adjourned at 8 p.m.
