Chernick, Village Trustee N. Czarnik, Village Trustee D. Gallitano, Village Trustee J. Petri, Village Trustee M. Tosto, Village Trustee MEMBERS ABSENT: None STAFF PRESENT: Charles Willis, Village Manager Gary Parrin, Assistant Village Manager Ray Rummel, Administrative Assistant Dick Olson, Personnel Officer Al Boffice, Director of Engineering 6 Community Development POLITICAL SIGNS President Zettek informed the Committee that several political campaign signs have been posted in violation of Village ordinance. Staff was directed to have signs violating Village ordinances removed, and to notify those people involved that the signs were posted illegally. BIESTERFIELD/JFKBNNEDY/SLK GROVE BODLBVARD A representative from Metro Transportation gave a presentation on the Biesterfield Road report. The consultant identified the following improvements in priority order: (A) Add dual left-hand turn lanes from westbound Biesterfield onto Arlington Heights Road; (B) Construct a fifth lane on Biesterfield from the east side of the bridge to Arlington Heights Road; (C) Improve shopping center ingress and egress at the intersection of Biesterfield and Arlington Heights Road; (D) Improve Elk Grove Boulevard. in addition, the Committee asked the consultant to investigate the feasibility of constructing a dedicated right-hand turn lane from northbound Wellington and onto Biesterfield, and to further study on- street parking requirements for Kennedy Boulevard. SBL RECAPTDRB AGREEMENT EXTENSION Consensus of the Committee was to not extend the SBL recapture agreement nor meet to discuss the issue with Leo Lenaghan. Staff was directed to call and advise Mr. Lenaghan, and then send a letter explaining the position of the Board. LIQUOR COMMISSION President Zettek called a meeting of the Liquor Commission for March 22, 1990 at 8:00 p.m. cow 3-5-90 -2- SALE OF FLOWERS IN COWWRCIAL DISTRICTS Consensus of the Committee was to not vary the zoning ordinance provisions which prohibit the sale of goods on street corners in the Village. EXECUTIVE SESSION Trustee Petri moved and Trustee Bosslet seconded to enter into Executive Session for the purpose of discussing personnel. Upon roll call vote, all AYES.
