EXCEPTIONAL CCMNMITY VIDEO
Ian Gray, Nancy Carlson, and Mike Hinko showed the completed
Economic Development video to the Committee. President Zettek
informed the Committee that the tape would be shown at the Awards
Banquet on April 27.
WATER BILL MESSAGE
It was the consensus of the Committee to place the following
message on the next water bill mailing:
O'HARE NOISE MEETING, THURSDAY, MAY 3, 7:30 P.M.
AT THE VILLAGE HALL
BIESTERPIELD IIiTERCBANGE
The Administrative Assistant informed the Committee that
the work on the Biesterfield Road/I-290 interchange would begin
on April 18, 1990.
LIBRARY BUILDING
Consensus of the Committee was for Staff to prepare a report
on whether the Fire Department has any use for the Library building.
COURT ROOM
Consensus of the Committee was for Staff to prepare a report
on Village uses for the vacated Court Room.
TAXICAB SUBSIDY
Consensus of the Committee was to continue with the senior
citizen taxicab subsidy on Saturdays and Sundays all day, and
on weekday evenings after 7 p.m.
PACE BDS/PARATRANSIT SERVICE
President Zettek informed the Board that the Dial-a-Ride
service is scheduled to begin on August 15, 1990.
In addition, President Zettek informed the Committee that
PACE is examining the Village's request for defining senior citizens
as being Age 60 and over.
BIESTERFIELD ROAD IMPROVRMSNTS
Consensus of the Committee was to place the proposed
Biesterfield Road Improvements with the Capital Improvements
Committee in order to examine the use of income tax surcharge
funds for completing the project.
POLICE ONION CONTRACT
President Zettek informed the Committee that the Police
Officers ratified the proposed wage contract by a vote of 36 to 7.
NEWSPAPER LITTER COMPLAINTS
Consensus of the Committee was to have Staff examine means
for reducing litter created by newspapers that are set out for
recycling.
ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS REPRESENTATICW
Consensus of the Committee was to agree with the
recommendation of the Assistant Village Manager and change Village
policy so that ZBA petitioners will not have to be represented
by an attorney.
LADDER TRUCK PRESENTATION
Consensus of the Committee was to view the Fire Department's
presentation on the use of the Ladder truck. The presentation
is to take place on April 24, 1990.
PERSONNEL CCMNITTEE
The Personnel Committee will have a meeting on Wednesday,
May 2, at 6:30 p.m.
IMPACT PER INTERGOVERNMENTAL AGREEMENT
Consensus of the Committee was to re-examine the request
at a later date.
