Ingebrigsten, Assistant Director of Finance SALES TAX REVENUES The Village Board reviewed General Fund revenue projections for FY 90 through FY 95 . Without additional revenues, village expenditures will exceed estimated revenues by the end of FY 91. The Village President suggested that the Board consider a 1/4% increase in the sales tax rate which would raise an additional $2 million in revenues per year. It was the consensus of the Committee to have Staff prepare a report on additional sources and survey other municipalities on their use of various taxing sources. AMOCO TANK FARM ANNEXATION Consensus of the Committee was to discuss this item at a later date when the Fire Chief is available. IDOT ANNEXATION The Village Manager reported that Staff would be meeting with IDOT on August 29 to discuss salt storage facilities. In addition, that the Plan Commission has made a recommendation to grant the required Special Use permit. COUNTY REZONING ON DIERRING TERRACE PROPERTY The Village Manager reported that the Cook County Zoning Board of Appeals heard a request to rezone property located on Dierking Terrace, and the Village has until September 3 to formally oppose the rezoning. The consensus of the Committee was to have Staff prepare a resolution opposing the rezoning and to have that item placed on the August 28, 1990 Agenda. AUGUST 18 FLOODING The Village Manager reported that a 150 to 200 year storm event occurred on the morning of Saturday, August 18, causing intersection flooding throughout the village. Some 30-40 homes experienced water in basements. No homes adjacent to Salt Creek were impacted by the creek. EXECUTIVE SESSION Trustee Czarnik moved and Bosslet seconded a motion to enter into executive session for the purpose of discussing litigation.
