COIN-OPERATED AMUSEMENT DEVICES
The Chairman of the Judiciary, Planning & Zoning
Committee informed the Village Board that the JPZ
Committee recommends adopting the proposed ordinance.
Consensus of the Village Board was to adopt the ordinance
at the Village Board meeting following the Committee of
the Whole meeting.
CIGARETTE VENDING MACHINE ORDINANCE
The Chairman of the Judiciary, Planning & Zoning
Committee informed the Village Board that the JPZ
Committee recommends adopting the proposed ordinance.
Consensus of the Village Board was to hold a first reading
of the proposed ordinance. Staff is to forward a copy of
the ordinance to businesses which have cigarette vending
machines ( available to the public) for their comments.
EXCEPTIONAL COMMUNITY VIDEO
President Zettek informed the Village Board that an
apartment rental management company wants to show the
Village ' s Exceptional Community video tape to prospective
tenants. Consensus of the Village Board was to sell the
video tape to the company at the Village' s cost. The
video tape is to be returned to the Village if the company
is no longer using it or the company no longer serves as a
rental management agency in Elk Grove.
POLICE DEPARTMENT STAFFING
Consensus of the Village Board was to authorize the
addition of seven ( 7 ) police officer positions bringing
the authorized strength from 70 to 77 . In addition, the
consensus of the Village Board was not to add an
additional sergeant' s position at this time.
AMOCO TANK FARM ANNEXATION
Consensus of the Village Board was to discuss this
item at the September 18 Committee of the Whole meeting.
COOK COUNTY REZONING OF PROPERTY ON MEACHAM ROAD
The Assistant Village Manager reported that a
property owner on Meacham Road has petitioned the Cook
County Zoning Board of Appeals to rezone the property.
Staff is working with the property owner for possible
annexation of the site when certain conditions exist in
exchange for the Village' s not objecting to the rezoning
of the property. Staff will make a recommendation to the
Village Board within 30 days.
GROVE MALL TEXT AMENDMENT
Consensus of the Village Board was to discuss the
proposed text amendment at the September 18 Committee of
the Whole meeting.
IDOT MAINTENANCE FACILITY ANNEXATION
Consensus of the Village Board was to discuss this
item at the September 18 Committee of the Whole meeting.
