SUBURBAN O'HARE COALITION
The Village President reported that SOC has requested
mailing labels for Village residents in order to send
residents information on the O'Hare Runway Referendum
question. Village policy is not to distribute mailing
labels to any organization outside of the corporate limits
of the Village.
The consensus of the Committee was to grant the
mailing labels to the Suburban O'Hare Coalition.
EXCHANGE OF ROAD MAINTENANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
Consensus of the Committee was for the Village to
transfer the maintenance responsibilities for Biesterfield
Road between Martha and Rohlwing to the State of Illinois
in exchange for the Village' s accepting the maintenance
responsibilities of Rohlwing Road from Biesterfield to a
point 200 feet North of White Trail.
CONVENTION CENTER AGREEMENT
The consensus of the Committee was to schedule a
meeting for Tuesday, October 2 , 1990, at 7 : 30 p.m. to
discuss the proposed Convention Center Agreement.
ELK GROVE YOUTH FOOTBALL LEAGUE PARADE
Consensus of the Committee was to allow the Elk Grove
Youth Football League to hold a parade on October 13 ,
1990, beginning at 8 a.m.
GROVE MALL TEXT AMENDMENT
Consensus - of the Committee was for the Village
Attorney to prepare a letter stating that the consensus of
the Village Board is not to amend the uses in B-1 Zoning
Districts; however, the petitioner may have a public
hearing before the Plan Commission if the petitioner still
desires to do so. In addition, the $150 filing fee for
the public hearing is to be returned to the petitioner.
MODEL ELECTRICAL UTILITY FRANCHISE AGREEMENT
The consensus of the Committee was to take action at
the upcoming Village Board meeting to authorize the
granting of $5 ,000 to the Northwest Municipal Conference
to prepare a Model Electrical Utility Franchise Agreement.
REQUEST FOR A GUARD RAIL
The consensus of the Committee was to concur with the
Police Department' s recommendation that a guard rail not
be installed in front of a residence on Biesterfield Road.
NORTHWEST SPECIAL RECREATION DISTRICT-LAS VEGAS NIGHT
The consensus of the Committee was not to object to
the fundraiser scheduled for October 26 , 1990 , from 7 p.m
to Midnight.
PUBLIC HEARING FOR VARIATION TO FIRE CODE
Consensus of the Committee was for Staff to schedule
a date and time for the hearing to be held before the
Village Board, and for Staff to prepare a report on the
matter.
LEAF COLLECTION PROGRAM BROCHURE
The Assistant Village Manager distributed copies of
the final leaf collection brochure which will be mailed to
Village residents.
NEWSLETTER ARTICLES
The Assistant Village Manager asked if any Village
Board members had comments on the Newsletter articles.
Consensus of the Committee was to proceed with the
Newsletter, and to add information on the loss of
recycling containers.
The meeting adjourned at 7 : 55 p.m.
