Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly
scheduled meeting of the Village President and Board of Trustees on December 17,2002 this
Executive Session was called to consider a Land Acquisition matter.

Land Acquisition
The Mayor reported that DuPage County is now supporting the construction of the
western access to O'Hare Airport and that Chicago has yet to release its Airport Layout
Plan to the public.
The Mayor stated the route of the north/south bypass will determine the ultimate
boundaries of O'Hare expansion. The Mayor discussed that of the proposed new
southern and northern runways, the northern runway would result in less cost to the City
of Chicago and to IDOT,making it likely to be the preferred alternative. Any property in
Elk Grove shown to lie cast of the north/south bypass can be expected to be acquired for
airport purposes.
