Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly
scheduled meeting of the Village President and Board of Trustees on December 17, 2002 this
Executive Session was called to consider a Land Acquisition matter.

Land Acquisition
The Mayor reported updates on Super Kmart on Meacham Road and recent discussions
with Home Depot representative
The Mayor stated the Kmart manager reported that two of their stores identified for
potential closings are among the company's best performers. The manager reported that
Kmart leases the property at Biesterfield and Meacham for$250,000 per month, and the
reported closing of this store may be an attempt to renegotiate the lease terms. In
addition, he reported that Best Buy representatives expressed interest in occupying part of
the building in the event Kmart does close.
The Mayor stated that Home Depot is evaluating whether they plan to occupy the Eagle
or take over the Kmart building, and will make a final determination in February 2003.
