Number of pages attached: 1 Date(s) of review for release: June, 2003 Date of approval for release: des q/n y0- 0 y 12/17/02 6:40 p.m. Litigation The Mayor reported that the Village of Mount Prospect and City of Des Plaines are in the process of attempting to annex land south of I-90 into their jurisdictions. The I-90 Tollway has traditionally been understood to be one of the boundaries between the three communities. The Village may need to consider legal action on those annexations. The Mayor discussed the potential annexation of NICOR pipeline adjacent to the tollway that would prevent the annexation of unincorporated properties along Higgins Road into neighboring municipalities. The Mayor requested the scheduling of an annexation hearing on January 14, 2003 to consider the NICOR annexation. The consensus of the Board was to schedule the hearing as proposed. The Mayor stated that the Village will review annexation opportunities east of I-90 in the future. Meeting ended 6:50 p.m.
