Pursuant to a duly made and approved motion and a majority vote at a regularly
scheduled meeting of the Village President and Board of Trustees on October 22 2002 this
Executive Session was called to consider a Personnel matter.

Personnel
The Village Manager reported that Fire Chief James Mac Arthur
communicated his intent to retire in February, 2003 to accept the position of
Fire Chief with the Itasca Fire Protection District. The Village Manager and
Mayor will meet with Deputy Fire Chief Douglas Goostree to discuss the
position of Fire Chief this November. The consensus of the Board was to
have Deputy Chief Goostree meet with the Village Board prior to the
November 19 Board meeting to discuss his background and vision for the
Department.
The meeting adjourned at 6:52 p.m.
